T-Scan – a diagnostic device that records the patient’s bite force dynamics, including occlusal force, location and timing. An invaluable tool to gain information for fixed prosthetics, occlusal adjustments, enhance treatment plan for TMJ and improve accuracy for TMD appliances. It improves clinical results, minimizes destructive forces, determines premature contacts and allows patients to see their bite on computer screen.
Occlusal Equilibration – involves reshaping of selected teeth/biting surfaces. Used when origin of problem is not a structural disorder.
Surgery – to be considered only after all other conservative TMJ treatment options have been attempted and can involve tissue work, implants.
Implants – surgical replacement of jaw joints – also to be carefully considered
TMJ disorders are not covered by all health and dental insurances. Check with your insurance provider or our office before incurring expenses related to diagnosis or treatment.
